Lagos governor Akinwunmi Ambode has met President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting reportedly began around 2.40 p.m and generally borders on the governor’s re-election.
Ambode and national leader of the All Progressives Congress Asiwaju Bola Tinubu have been at loggerhead in the last few weeks.
Tinubu is reported to have dumped Ambode who many claim failed to carry party members along, for former Commissioner for Work, Babajide Sanwo-Olu

Overtures to Asiwaju Tinubu have failed repeatedly, although there are feelers the two will reconcile.
Shortly after Governor Ambode picked his APC nomination form, momentum gathered for Sanwo-Olu, who has vowed not to step down for Ambode.
The APC governorship primary has been rescheduled for September 29, 2018, giving Ambode more time to scurry favour in a bid to get re-elected.
The meeting between Ambode and Buhari was ongoing as at press time.
