One of Nigeria’s most reliable financial institutions, Keystone Bank Limited has bagged the Best Bank In Women Entrepreneurs Empowerment award in New York, USA.

The bank’s unflinching contributions to women entrepreneurs was rewarded at the Africa Women Forum themed “Fostering Global Partnerships and Collaborations in Delivering SDGs: Women Empowerment in Focus”.



The award was received by the Group Managing Director/CEO of Keystone Bank Limited, Obeahon Ohiwerei.

The United Nations-sponsored Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) recognizes gender equality as not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.

In the same vein, stakeholders, in the sustainability spectrum have equally maintained that achieving equality in access to education, health care, finance, as well as in leadership representations across all platforms will drive global sustainability.

The Forum had series of high-level sessions designed to build formidable networks, mutually beneficial and effective multi-stakeholder partnerships, policy dialogues and interactions, high net-worth collaborations, as well as bespoke and private investment meetings, to scale up women in leadership, as well as identify, and promote best practices in delivering socio-economic sustainability.
