Tottenham striker Harry Kane was player of the month for December to equal ex-Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard’s record of winning the award six times.

Kane, 24, struck eight goals – including two hat-tricks – during December.
His Spurs side produced four wins, a draw and a single defeat to Guardiola’s City, who remain unbeaten in the Premier League and sit 15 points clear at the top.
Bournemouth and England striker Jermaine Defoe was awarded the Goal of the Month award.
Guardiola will hope to crown his remarkable feat with titles this season.
As a manager, he has won 22 trophies since the start of his managing career, making him one of the most successful managers in world football.
Guardiola also holds the record for the most consecutive league wins in La Liga, Bundesliga and the Premier League.
He is considered by a number of players, coaches, and commentators to be one of the best managers in the world.
