GOtv Boxing Night 13: Free bus ride excites fans

Fans billed to attend GOtv Boxing Night 13, holding on 26 December at the Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, are thrilled by decision of the organizers to provide free bus rides for those who buy tickets.

The buses, which will be at the National Stadium, Surulere, will move ticket holding fans to the venue of the event and bring them back after the show.

The event will feature musical performances by Small Doctor, Falz The Bahd Guy, Reekado Banks and Simi.

Tickets for the event are available online at ariiyatickets.com, SLOT and Ebeano Supermarket outlets, Freedom Park and National Stadium, Lagos.

A fan Monday, Akpochi, said he is particularly happy that the organisers have thought of the convenience of the fans by providing free buses.

Another fan, Karimu Kawonise, who lives in Ajegunle, said he is delighted by the decision, saying it will make it really easy for fans going to the venue from the mainland.

“It is a very good thing. It means we do not have to worry about getting to the venue or returning to the mainland when the show ends. One must thank the organisers,” he said

GOtv Boxing Night 13 will feature seven fights including two African Boxing Union (ABU) title clashes and a West African Boxing Union title defence along with two national title fights.

In the lightweight category, Nigeria’s Oto “Joe Boy” Joseph will take on Egypt’s Abdulrahim Ahmed for the vacant African Boxing Union (ABU) title, while Olaide “Fijaborn” Fijabi will attempt to win the light welterweight continental title when he confronts Kenya’s Michael Odhiambo.

Abolaji “Afonja Warrior” Rasheed will defend his West African Boxing Union title against Ghana’s Arye Ayitteh,

The lightweight division will also feature Rilwan “Real One” Oladosu, who will fight Kehinde “Ijoba”Badmus for the national title.

Rilwan “Baby Face” Babatunde will square up to Chijioke “Painless” Ngige for the national light welterweight crown.

Two challenge bouts in the lightweight and super middleweight divisions respectively will see Rilwan “Scorpion” Oyekola clash with Jimoh “Hogan Jimoh Jr.” Lukman, while Matthew “Wizeman” Obinna will duel with Cosmos ‘Awosika” David.
