Reports says Emirates Stadium and London Stadium have ‘worst atmosphere in Premier League’

West Ham’s London Stadium and Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium have been ranked as having the worst atmosphere in the Premier League as Tottenham’s former home White Hart Lane tops the charts.

FootballGroundMap.com asks its registered user base of over 130,000 to judge grounds on six different categories; location, view, facilities, food and drink, police and atmosphere. This gives an overall ranking.

The London Stadium’s highest ranking comes in faculties, ninth overall in the Premier League, but is last in atmosphere and policing.

West Ham’s new home has seen crowd trouble in its first season as a football ground, resulting in a number of bans for troublesome supporters.

Arsenal’s ground comes out on top in four of the six categories – location, view, facilities and police – to top the overall charts but lines up alongside West Ham, in 19th, for atmosphere.

Tottenham’s Whit Hart Lane, now demolished after 118 years of hosting football, was the best stadium for atmosphere according to 55,000 members to rate their visit.

However, a low ranking on police and location and middling reviews in food and drink and view leaves Tottenham in seventh overall.

According to FootballGroundMap.com, the worst stadium of the 20 teams participating in the 2016-17 Premier League stadium for Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park having ranked last in view, facilities and food and drink and 19th place in location.
