President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to preside over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday.

This has, however, generated mixed reactions among Nigerians.

While some say he would attend, others stated that the presidency will, as usual, give excused to Nigerians if the president fails to show up.

The president has failed to attend FEC meetings for three consecutive weeks, fuelling speculation about his health.

However, he resumed at his desk on Tuesday and took briefs from Abubakar Malami, Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), and Maikanti Baru, Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

FEC, which is made up of the president, vice-president and all Ministers, is the highest decision making organ of the government.

Meanwhile, one social media user‏ @PaulUtho is trending for tweeting that “If@MBuhari attends the FEC meeting tomorrow in the Council Chamber at the State House, l’ll give out 25k to 5people who RT this.”

Other reactions below:

@Tomyboiz Buhari will be “arranged” to attend the FEC meeting and address council members for some minutes…after which he will leave and the VP will continue presiding over the meeting. This is to douse tension in the polity
